Immune means to be protected from something. There are many diseases, which people may get only once in their life, after that they are immune to them for the rest of their lives. There exist certain vaccines, which make up immune to some dangerous diseases, like tuberculosis, hepatitis B, etc.

Immune System
is a group of certain cells inside every person’s body, which kill dangerous for the health germs. These cells distinguish the cells, which belong to the organism of some person and the cells, which do not. They provide protection against many viruses, bacteria and germs, thus a person stays healthy.
Lymph nodes and white blood cells are parts of the immune system.

Implantation
signals the beginning of pregnancy. This is the process, during which the fertilized egg gets attached to the wall of the uterus. However, in case of an ectopic pregnancy, the fertilized egg can get implanted in some other inappropriate location.

Incubation
Period is a period from the first day someone gets a sexually transmitted disease until the first signs or symptoms of it are revealed. Depending on the kind of a disease this period may last from several hours up to ten years. Even if an infected person feels perfectly, and no symptoms are seen so far, he can transmit the disease to other people.

Infected
is a person, who got some disease or illness. If a person gets infected with some virus, germ or bacteria, there is some certain period of time, during which he may not be aware of it up until the first signs of symptoms of the disease are revealed.

Infertility is an impossibility to have children of someone’s own. Among possible reasons of infertility may be some diseases, which a person had before, or of which he or she is suffering, age, or some disorders of the reproductive system.

Intravenous (I.V.) means something, (usually a medicine, or drug), which goes directly into the vein.
