Combined oral contraceptives (COC), both monophase and di-, and three-phases are adopted, as a rule, from the 1st day of menstrual cycle during 21 day, after a 7-daily interruption, the 21-daily course of reception is again repeated. Some authors recommend beginning the reception of preparations in the 5th day of cycle.
Pure gestagens ("mini-pills") accept from 1-st day of menstrual cycle daily in a constant mode (without interruption).
Preparations after sex containing the large doses of gestagens are used for urgent contraception: in the flow no more than 72 hours after unscreened sexual intercourse follow twice, with an interval 12 hours, to accept for to a 1 pill of postinor (0,75 mg of levonorgestrel), or a few pills COC.
Gestagen preparation of the protracted action of depo-provera is entered intramuscular for 150 mgs 3 each month; first injection - in the first 5 days of menstrual cycle or on 6th to the week after births.
Using clean gestagen contraceptives and depo-provera it is possible during lactation.

 Absolute Contraindications:
- lactation,
- thromboembolism diseases (even in anamnesis),
- complicated vices of valves of heart,
- ischemic heart trouble,
- heart attack of myocardium in anamnesis,
- heavy diseases of the cardiovascular system with the expressed insufficiency of circulation of blood,
- hypertensive illness of the ²²² stage, and also II stages at HELL is higher 180/110 mm. item,
- vascular diseases of cerebrum,
- headaches with expressed hearth semiology,
- pregnancy or suspicion on it,
- malignant tumors of any localization,
- heavy form of saccharine diabetes,
- heavy diseases of liver and buds with the expressed violation of their function,
- bleeding from the sexual ways of not clearing etiology (before establishment of diagnosis),
- individual unbearable of this preparation,
- falcate-cellular anemia,
- much (more than 20 cigarettes in days) smoking women are more senior 35 years,

Relative Contraindication
it is not recommended to use except for those cases, when other methods of contraception are inaccessible:
- chronic diseases of liver and buds with moderate (or without) violation of function,

- epilepsy,
- migraine,
- ulcerous colitis,
- allergy in anamnesis,
- diseases of gall-bladder,

- age are more senior 35 years,
- much smoking women,
- expressed obesity (II-III stages),
- protracted preceding application of medicinal preparations,
- oppressive the enzymic function of liver (antidepressants and others),
- less than 21 day period after delivery.
