The Two Day Method
A woman, who applies the Two Day Method of Fertility Awareness, monitor herself every day with the aim of determining whether or not she has any vaginal secretions that day. Therefore, unlike other methods, which are based on the symptoms analysis, it doesnot involve the characteristics of the secretions analysis, for example, its amount, color, consistency, slipperiness, stretchability, viscosity, etc.

Using the Two Day Method
All users of the Two Day Method have two questions to ask themselves every day:
Did I note any secretions today?
Did I not any secretions yesterday?
In case if the woman noticed any secretions today OR yesterday, it means, that she is fertile, and can potentially become pregnant. Moreover, today any unprotected sexual contact is to be avoided in order to prevent unwished pregnancy from occurring. However, if a woman did not notice any secretions today and yesterday (two consecutive dry days are to be taken into consideration), that is the sign that pregnancy is much unlikely to occur today.

In order to make the Two Day Method simpler to use, a woman can note the presence or absence of her cervical secretions at the same established time every day. For example, if she will check at noon or just before going to bed at night, it may reduce the risk for confusion semen and cervical secretions.
Effectiveness of the Two Day Method

This method of Natural Family Planning proved to be about 96% effective, if used perfectly. Therefore, for couples, which had sexual intercourse during the woman’s fertile days but applied some back – up method of birth control, the Two Day Method had a failure rate of about 6%. However, the typical use failure rate of 12% includes all couples, despite of the fact whether or not this method was used properly.
